Fired Because Of Facebook

By Tyronne Jacques

Fired because of Facebook & Twitter Tweets

It seems almost mind blowing to think about it, but you can get fired for something you posted on Facebook. How did we arrive at this point?  Did anyone see this coming? A report came out last week that said facebook users now spend on average of 6 hours per week logged in.  That"s correct, 6 hours precious hours per week logged into a website!

Someone who has just hatched out of an egg shield would probably ask what in the hell are all of these people doing on a website for 6 hour? To answer your question Mr. Hatchling, posting personal information about themselves all over the web. Posting their whereabouts, their children"s names, and even when they plan to leave for a 7 day cruse while having their address listed in their profiles. Yikes

Call it carried away or merely obsessed with staying connected, but somewhere we have lost our common sense when it comes to sites like Facebook, and Twitter.

So you have just gotten fired for something you posted on Facebook? Was it fair that they fire you for something that took place on your personal time?  I would say no it"s not fair, but is it legal? Absolutely it is.
